The cursor of my Toshiba freezes for several times. It's not moving for a maximum of 1 n half minute, when I tried to use the keyboard and press Alt + tab to check if it's not working - it is working but the cursor are still on the freeze mode. I'm panicked that my laptop might have a problem 'cause this is new and I almost cried every time I experienced errors. Can someone explain to me what is happening? Is it part of the system I mean is it normal or it is considered that indeed my lappy has a problem? Thank you for answering.

Are you using the touchpad or a mouse? Some Satellites have a button that enables/disables the touchpad. It's located right above the touchpad, between the touchpad and the keyboard. It's kind of a longish button. Press it to disable the touchpad then press it again to enable the touchpad. Do this a couple of times to see if maybe the touchpad isn't fully enabled. If you're using a mouse, disable the touchpad.

Go to Start>Control Panel>Mouse or click the Show Hidden Icons arrow on the right side of the Task Bar and click the touchpad icon for settings.

If you have Windows 8, you should include this in your question because getting to settings will be different.

Try using a mouse to move your cursor. It may be a problem with your mouse pad. If not, bring it for repairs as the internal mouse wirings may be loose. Best of luck
