i have dell insipiron 1525 laptop . i installed xp and linux . but sound card(corporation 82801h(ich8 family) hd audio controller module: snd_hda_intel) is not detecting in linux operating system and also nic card (marvell yukon 88E8040 PCI-E fast ethernet controller) ...if anyone have the driver for this which supporting linux please send it to me to my id or please send the link for dowloading it frm net as free of cost

for your nic card, I think the driver is available in their website. check it out http://www.marvell.com/drivers/search.do ... good luck :)

I think LINUX is not as any other OS ,there went something wrong while installation( at the end of the installation i.e., during the installation) linux checks it drivers to be well connected to the NIC and at that time it pops continuously (downloading from mirrors) which means it is ensures repeatedly it is well connected enough to the internet or broadband or router to complete the clean installation
