Dell Inspiron 14 is probably the best for you cos dell offers on site support... You dont have to look for a service center in case something goes wrong... It has a i3 processor, upgradable when you buy to an i5...

If style is what you're looking for, there is a VAIO (google it) for about 38k, which is quite good.

I say :

Dell Studio/Inspiron with ATI Graphics for Performance

and a VAIO for style!

You point out which you have Win 7 & Win XP loaded on your device. i could think of which you have this setup as a twin boot (you're given a decision at startup as nicely your workstation into the two Win 7 or XP). I could ask that as you're saying " for the duration of those 5 months my workstation became working fantastic and interior the 6th month" or is it a workstation that became working XP and additionally you upgraded to Win 7? on the backside of your question you're saying loaded at the same time (i'm hoping that it somewhat is a twin boot configuration). I even have by no ability had a lot good fortune in platforms that have been upgraded exceedingly platforms that are sufficiently old to have XP as your significant working device. i assume my 1st answer could be to do a device restoration from interior homestead windows. %. a date earlier on your situation and restoration your device that until eventually now time. you do no longer point out in case you're playing a internet based pastime or a pastime it rather is put in on your device? you in addition to mght do no longer point out what form of device protection you're utilizing (Avast,AVG,Norton,McAfee, and so on). Or in case you're playing a internet based pastime, what browser (IE8/ Firefox/ Google Chrome) are you utilizing. As consistent with Lenovo's and the M$ web site there does not seem an XP to Win 7 improve. So i could think of you have a twin boot setup. if so what OS is inflicting you grief? Please supply us some greater innovations. additionally person Rosch has some useful data.

Ive heard good things about alienware if your interested in gaming. They can be pretty expensive though.

I had an HP dv9 with a 17 inche screen. It was pretty bulky and big. I just bought an HP pavilion dv4 and really like it.
