about high memory usage?

Whenever I am opening google chrome window while doing any task I am getting high memory usage by google chrome is displaying. and high memory usage by cpu. I am not understading this. what is the meaning of this and how to rectify this.

ram can't be overloaded i think it's your processor which is giving a full time duty!



all you can do is to uninstall programs and reduce the no of startup programs from msconfig!

programs rest and do nothing when you are not using them. when you use them they have to be woken up brought into light and played with. This is done with your CPU(brain) and memory. The more programs you have running at once - the higher the usage goes.



You can't do much about the CPU usage (unless you upgrade to a new cpu and that is difficult unless you know what you are doing) but as another poster said - memory is fairly cheap and you can install more. Assuming you don't already have the max amount in there. It should give your computer a boost.



Just FYI - when asking computer questions you should include stats on your computer - like what kind it is, what kind of processor, and how much memory it has:)

You should increase the RAM and the Fixed Hard disc memory

my computer was so slow, but i increased the ram to 2 gb and the hard disc to 120 gb

Mine's perfect now.

You need to upgrade your RAM or GPU. If you have lots of procceses running at the sametime. Like multiple web pages open or something running in the background while you surf this may be causing it.

Memory is very cheap now. So we can have a lot of memory.
