I am planning to purchase a laptop under RS 35,000, So I selected Dell Inspiron M501R because it does have 1 GB graphics card. Specification:
AMD Phenom™ II Triple-Core Mobile Processor N850 (2.2GHz, 1.5M, 3.6GT/s)
3GB (1 X 1GB + 1 X 2GB) 2 DIMM DDR3 1333Mhz
ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 550v 1GB
I want to watch HD movies online as well as on DVD's and play games . I am not hardcore gamer I play games when I have free time but I use my desktop more than 8 hours per day for surfing. Is this a good laptop for that ? If it is not a good laptop to buy then Suggest me some other laptops under rs 35,000.

you should yet.... the main problems would be getting access to the internet. Many unfastened open source linux owing to thoroughly insane US rules strongly restrict using PROPRIETARY LINUX aspects in unfastened open source linux including ubuntu. maximum Dell comprise a broadcom card if so you're out of success if instead you chosen the INTEL card then this is a lot extra like minded with linux. so final analysis the two you pay for a good of the line linux like mandriva ability %. or Suse Linux Entreprise that comprise proprietary drivers or you attempt to play around with wifi... BUY IT!!!!

Look for Sony Vaios too custom made...

Look also for a Intel i7 Ultimate which is also cool.

The RAM seems ok, but you need lots of space though.

The processor is sorta slow though.
