The other guys are right, WoW and L4D are not considered hardcore games and most newer laptops will be able to play them. I say most because you should completely stay away from a laptop that says "intel GMA HD 4500" or anything to that nature because those graphics chips are not for gaming. Also stay away from any nvidia chip lower than a geforce 8400m, stay away from radeon chips lower than 3200 series. Nvidia GT 130 and up will serve you just great.

If you are looking for a true hardcore gaming laptop just go online and find one that has a intel core i7 720qm processor. Any laptop with this beastly processor will have a beastly gaming chip to compliment its raw unearthly power.

These laptops should suite you just fine:

WoW and left for dead don't take much graphics. You can almost pick up a newerish laptop and play. My friend has a crappy Toshiba and plays both on there.

I have an ASUS G71GX with GTX 260M and 12 gigs of ram.. I paid 1300 for it.. You DO NOT NEED this kind of laptop in order to play those games. I would say ASUS is a good company..

you don't need a gaming computer to play WoW. I believe any of today's PCs would play it well.

Even my 7 years old computer can play WoW just with it's integrated graphics card and the shared graphics memory.
