So I've been trying to empty my trash on my MacBook pro for a while now. Back a while ago I had to download the 'Safe Connect Mac Installer', and I accidentally downloaded it like 5 times lol. Well, I tried to delete all the extra downloads I had, and when I try to empty the files out of my trash it says that they are ALL in use. Can anyone tell me how I could delete the files, or just how to empty my trash reguardless of if the items are in use?

Its probably set to start with the computer.

Go to 'system preferences> accounts' and click the 'login items' tab.

The rest should be self explanatory

good luck

if they are in use, you have to find the program that is using them and close it first. unfortunately, the "trash" program may be using the program. if this works, i think you can move them to an external drive and delete it on another computer....
