I don't know about the streaming videos, but one of the more important things you need to look for is a working caps lock key SO YOU CAN STOP ALL THE GORRAM SHOUTING!

Look for a laptop that has an ATI or a GForce chipset for the video (intel is crap for gaming), at least 3 gigs of RAM, the larger the hard drive the better.

The processor speed is more important. Some of the higher speeds now are 3.3MHz, so neither of those are really horribly speedy, if that's what you're going for. But if you have less that 3 GB of RAM, you're not doing too hot, either. However, regardless of all that, I thought I should inform you that I have had problems with Dell hardware and issues with Toshiba software. My next laptop will probably be a Sony or an HP/Compaq.

For streaming the only thing that matters is your internet speed, so i guess for hardware make sure your laptop supports all three (b/g/n) wireless speeds.

For gaming, and for streaming videos, the graphics card is important. To run games at the high settings is expensive, especially for laptops. Like in the thousands. So just make sure you have an ATI or nVidia graphics card in it and not onboard graphics and you'll get decent performance on games.

Also, the processor. I'd recommend at least a dual core with about a 3.0 speed for games/videos.

Befor buying a laptop the following points should be taken into consideration.

1) How much ram does it have for your use it should be about 3 or4gb

2) processer- it should be high end processer core i5 or i7 should be suitable for your purpose

3) video card - should be of 512mb or256mb in order to play modern games like gta4 cod4 etc.

4) sound quality - always check sound quality of the laptop as you like streaming videos .

5) and lastly features it supports like wifi, bluetooth, webcam etc.

and please dont buy mac because unlike windows, mac os does not support wide varieties of software.

I'd recommend you to buy a dell laptop because you can customize your laptop by visiting their website.

I can sum all your inquiries up in three words....Get a MAC! You don't even have to think about anything else. You must also have a fast internet connection too. Doesn't matter what computer you have, slow connection=slow downloads.
