I had a blue screen of death(windows 7)and my laptop turned off itself so I turned the laptop on after it turned off(Not sure if this is called force shutdown).

I found the problem which was causing the blue screen
My question is: If the laptop turned off itself then I turned it back on Can this damage the laptop, I'm a bit worried since laptop is quite new.

It shouldn't have done any damage. At least, I've never heard of it damaging anyone's PC or laptop before. I've had it happen to my numerous times and my PC ended up fine.

You should be just fine.

Repeated BSOD's won't cause any hardware damage but you may lose or damage some files that were in use when the BSOD happens. Most of the time windows can repair the damage but occasionally not.

If the BSOD is a one off then forget about it. If it happens on a regular basis then you may have a software or hardware problem if it is under warranty i would ring the support line of the manufacturer.

Should not be a problem, back along i had a malfunction and just pulled the power plug out of the wall, without switching of my computer. Switched it back on again , it,s been working fine ever since then .
