help with my computer!!!!!?

Question

when i turn on my computer after i shut it down, a bunch of popups come up, like the welcome center and the sign up thing for norton internet security and it wont go away unless i set it up but i dont want to, how do i take offfff???!!!!!??!?!?!?!?!?!?//!!!!( i have windows vista )

If you want to avoid certain programs from starting up, you can edit your start up programs to choose what you want and don't want starting up.



To do this, go to Start > Run. Then type in "msconfig" minus the quotations.



When you hit enter, you'll see a box pop up. Go to the startup tab, and you'll see a list of programs that start up with your computer. Be careful, as this is everything that starts up. Unselecting the wrong thing could make your computer unstable. Look for the ones that you recognize and that you don't want starting, and then click OK.



Also, for the Welcome Center, there will be a check box at the bottom that says "Show at system startup" or something along those lines. You can uncheck the box so it doesn't show up when you start up your computer.

go to your vista search bar and type in msconfig

click on the "start-up" tab



uncheck the boxes on the following:



Total care advisor (if you have an hp)

windows defender

microsoft welcome center

anthing with symantec in the name



and if you are also annoyed by the popups you get everytime you install/uninstall or change any settings go into control panel -> Users/Profiles-> select your name-> uncheck the UAC box



all of these should make your computer significantly less annoying

type msconfig in the search bar, open the msconfig applet, click on the start up tab on the top of the window, from there you can check or un check which programs start up when windows starts.

Make sure you google anything that you are unsure what it is before you uncheck it.

in case of welcome center

there is a message at the left side corner of the welcome center

just click there to remove the tick mark .......

and for others go to start>programe files>start up> and delete the programe's shortcut to remove it from automatic start .......
