If my laptop is stolen is there anyway to track it? Or somehow find where it is?

very unlikely, unless it was security marked, and then recovered, it could atleast be tracked back to you, your best bet would be to report the item then hope that it get's found. the chances are it will be formatted and sold on and you'll never get it back.

The FBI can track when a stolen laptop resurfaces on the grid, so you should be able to do that too. In 2003, 250 laptops were stolen from a warehouse, and they tracked them down as soon as they connected to the internet.

Well. If you know your ip adress you can go to the police and they should be able to track it if the user is using the internet. besides that next time you should either be more careful or have a Lo-Jack device installed into it.
