I need help choosing a laptop to buy... Mac or PC?

I have been a PC user all my life but since my laptop is coming to the end of its days, I have recently been thinking about getting a Mac but i heard that the transition is tricky and hard. So what do ya'll think? Mac or stick with PC and if PC, what laptop should I get? I use the internet a lot, mostly for school and friends. I have movies on my laptop and songs as well.

See if you can borrow a MAC to check out.



Remember MACs use different software so you will have to buy new software too.

MAC, MAC, MAC. They are so much better, OSX runs so much better then Vista and they look so much cooler now with the new models. People say that there is no software for Mac which is a lie, however you will need to buy Mac versions but worst case if you don't like the Mac once you get it then you can just install Windows on it. You can't install OSX on a PC so with a Mac you can have both.

As like you I have been thinking about getting a macbook. I have been on apple.com for hours watching videos on them and I think mac might be better. I do about the same on my laptop as you do. I just wondering because I know how to work on pc's and don't know weather I could fix a mac if I needed to. I think I would try a mac. Windows just keeps on having more and more problems.

All Macs run with intel processors now. All software is compatible with Mac and PCs (including games.) I would get a Mac, they last longer, and they don't get viruses. Anyone who has problems converting software and such must be using an older Mac, because everything is totally compatible. And, if you needed to, you can use a windows os on your Mac.

I'd say get a PC. Mac is ridiculously stupid for experienced PC users. Plus all your beloved software will not work with it (unless you install Windows on your Mac)

If you are novice, ie, a beginner get the MAC

If experienced get the PC

You should get a PC... Toshiba L305 for general use... Good build quality and not overpriced or CyberpowerPC for ganming/entertainment.
