Which laptop is a better buy!? please help!?

Question

which laptop is a better buy? I have lots of music and pictures. I also like to play the sims 2 plus the sims 3.
please help. and are refurbished laptops worth it?

I vote for the second one, HP is always a good name brand, so you would be better off getting a good name brand.



you do realize that going through tiger direct is getting a refurbished system though right?



I would highly suggest to visit a best buy, and getting a New Gateway, you will spend the same price and it will be new, comes with one year warranty, refurbished only comes with 30-90 days warranty.

Either laptop will run the sims2 and 3. The 700+ one is going to be more hardware intensive. Better CPU, Video, ect...



I like the 17in laptop screen feature in the other one. Unless your going to hook it up to an external monitor. Then it doesn't matter.



Don't know much about refurb laptops. I would perfer a new one.. Thats just me.



Also both have the same HD space. The $700 one is a 7200rpm compared to the other which is 5200rpm.

Asus comes with Intel CPU which is always better choice for laptops because they run cooler.



I would go with Asus from these 2 but they are basically the same so choice is yours.
