I just got my laptop today yay. anyway, i got a minor problem regarding the time synchronization. It seems that everytime I TURN OFF my laptop, it goes back to its "default" date & time (July 1, 2003 12:00) when I turn it on again, which is like 5 years out of sync!!! well so everytime i turn on my pc, i manually set the time and date closest to the current time, then try to resync by then it syncs.

I want to know why this happens and isn't it suppose to automatically sync with the local time? and my computer connects online wirelessly always lol. okay so is there any solutions here? thanx in advance.

Your laptop needs a new CMOS battery

This is a small coin sized battery mounted on the motherboard. It keeps your clock, as well as BIOS settings.

If you do not know how to take apart your laptop, take it into your local repair shop to get this battery replaced.

Yo.... change your BIOS Battery inside you desktop/laptop, the battery is easy to change you should be able to figure it out.

BIOS battery is drained in the normal circumstances, check the current system date if there is any issue with that also then it sure is a BIOS battery replacement need.

Else uninstall the application, restart, install & restart and check, 99% works....;-)

the battery which keeps the time and settings is running low or maybe dead that's why the time returns to the factory default.

it can be replaced, but it is a little different than those on a desktop PC. you can bring your laptop to a service center to have the battery replaced.
