Hi everyone. I have a MacBook and recently I needed to get a new battery because mine was one that was recalled. I contacted Apple, they sent me out a new battery, I replaced it and charged it. I hadn't used my laptop for a few days because my router didn't work. (talk about frustrating and bad luck) Yesterday morning I had internet connection and it was working fine for about 50 minutes. All of a sudden my trackpad stopped working. I can move the mouse around but when I go to click on something, nothing happens. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what the problem could be and how to fix it?

Also you can email me at iheartpghsports@yahoo.com if you need additional info.

Thank you!!

I'm not sure about MAC's but i know for many PC laptops, there is usually an external button near the touchpad that will deactivate the touchpad. Is it possible that you did this? Also if you go through your devices on MAC (like settings) maybe there's a way to reactivate your touchpad from there. I'm not sure about mac but on pc i've become quite handy using keyboard shortcuts and not having to rely on my touchpad. In the meanwhile plug in a usb mouse.

I would take it in to an Apple Store. It doesn't sound like it could be a software problem. Sorry about your bad luck. I've had nothing but good luck with my Apple products.

Take it to your nearest Mac store or have it sent into apple to be repaired unless you know how to install it your self then you can just order the part :D
