I need a new laptop and im stuck on which one to get. I understand nothing about laptops, ill be using it for my uni work and Sims 2... Here are the laptop specs:

Laptop 1 - Processor: AMD Dual-Core E2-1800 1.7 GHz 1 MB L2 cache memory, RAM: 6 GB (1 x 2 GB, 1 x 4 GB), Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7340 Discrete-Class, Hard Drive: 750 GB, Optical Disk Drive: SuperMulti DVD±R/RW with double layer support,

Laptop 2 - Processor: Intel Pentium B960 Duel Core, Memory: 6GB, Hard Drive: 500GB, HDMI Output, Intel HD 400 0128 Shared Graphics, Built in Bluetooth, Multi Format Digital Media Card Reader

Laptop 3 - Processor: AMD Dual-Core E2-3000M (1.8 GHz, 1 MB L2 Cache), RAM: 4 GB (Expandable to 6 GB), Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6380G Discrete-Class, Hard Drive: 500 GB, Optical Disk Driver: SuperMulti DVD±R/RW with Double Layer Support

I prefer the look on Laptop 2 but I have been told laptops 1 & 3 are better for the sims... Would there really be that much difference? Also, my boyfriend has laptop specs similar to Laptop 2 and it works fine? Any help would be great! Also if it were you which would you chose?? :)

Laptop 1 would be better for The Sims and everything else.

Its processor is 0.1gHz slower than laptop 3, but that really won't make much difference. It has more hard drive space, 2 whole gigabytes more RAM and has a newer graphics chipset.

Laptop 2 has a very old processor model and in my own experience Pentium Dual-cores aren't very good.

Laptop 3 has less RAM, less hard drive space and an older graphics chipset than laptop 1, the only pro it has against laptop 1 is that it has 0.1 gHz more clock on the processor, which isn't worth it really.

Get laptop 1.

Laptop 2 is a no literaly because Pentium is so old school. It has good specs just not a Processor to use the specs to its best.

Laptop 1 is sounding really good.

1. AMD stuff in it

2. Graphics card is so much better than Intel HD and you will probably find you can have better graphics on it.

3. loads of ram and space so you can't fault it much. all of the processors Aint that brill and to be honesty I think you will just be able to play Sims 2 but laptop 1 and 3 will do much better.

Laptop 3. Another good one 4GB of ram is great cause 6GB is just too much for what other things the laptops have. Think Graphics card is a bit lower and less space.

It depends on the prove of them but is Laptop 1 has hardly less difference then it is number 1 in my opinion.

The processor of laptop 2 is quite old fashion. I'd go for laptop 3, because it is faster and the graphics card looks better.. 4GB ram should be enough, unless you want to start modelling or exporting multiple videos at once. However, all 3 laptops should be good enough for your purpose. The only real difference is their speed. Even the speed of laptop 3 is relatively low, but its faster than laptops 1 and 2.

Good luck with deciding, I hope I helped.

No, certainly no longer made for gaming. That Pentium is taken into consideration one of Intel's maximum inexpensive processors, it is used to make the laptop greater interior of your potential. a sturdy processor could start up on the "i3" and up. those Intel pix suck, they'll play Sims, however the colour and factor would be low high quality. I certainly have a computing device with the Intel pix, playing Sims 2 and 3 I do observe a distinction in color and factor high quality, yet i'm comparing to my Gaming laptop... I do play Sims 2 on Max settings and it works positive, basically as quickly as back, that color and factor is low. Sims 3 I basically play on default settings. So, particular, that laptop will play some video games, yet once you intend on some intense call of accountability, or Battlefield, those pix won't artwork even on Low settings and not utilising a lag. As for temperature subject concerns, it is basically the Processor and pix Card doing its artwork. Sims is an truly stressful interest. so which you're working the two maximum advantageous aspects on your laptop, and because there is not any longer lots room in that laptop, they are so close which comprise one bodily working fan, it does not get lots room to respire whilst it is working so no longer common. in case you like it to maintain as cool because it may on an analogous time as playing video games, set it on a no longer common table/floor. whether it is on the carpet, your lap, etc. it gets much less air bypass, regrettably, it is how abode windows based computers are designed... i'm hoping I helped!
