2 of my laptops have Intel HD graphics but that's all it says... Isn't there Intel HD Graphics 4600 and 5500 and stuff? How do I find out what version on Intel HD graphics I have?
The fact that the card is not giving you more information (mainly the model number) means that you are not running the correct driver for the card. You are either using a generic driver build into Windows or you are using a general driver from Intel that works for all their cards. This may reduce performance and limit options with the card.
Since these are laptops, the cards are build into the system board. They are going to be specific to that make.model of laptops. They may not have a standard name like 4600 or 5500. Usually the only place you can get the correct driver is from the web site of the manufacturer of the laptop(s).
Go to the web site and in their support/download section look up your model. It should have the correct drivers there. It should also tell you the model of the card. Download an install.
Sometimes the same laptop will ship with more than one possible card in it. They switched cards half way through the life of the model. So there may be more than one driver available. Try it of them. Only the correct one will install for you.

run DxDiag from the cmd prompt. the cpu type can then be referred to in google and that'll tell you which version you have. btw, i think HD 4400 is the current best but haven't actually been looking because no serious gamer uses the builtin gpu capabilities anyway.

Search for what your processor is, and you can find out that way.
