I am a student and on a budget. I need a good cheap lap top between $500-750. Does anyone have any recommendations? I want specific lap tops not buying sites. However, buying sites on top of specific names are also helpful!

Ok, I have 2 suggestions that meet your price range and are over the performance you need for school. The first one is the one I recommend. It is a Gateway MX6927 (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2727072&CatId=2289). The cost is $719.99. You can do Video Editing, Word Documents, Gaming, etc. at very high speeds. You won't need a new computer for at least 4 years! The second one is a Gateway MP6954 (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2727055&CatId=2289). It is a little cheaper just that it has a little slower processor and less battery life. Good luck in school!
