What laptop is better for rending 720p hd in sony vegas. The videos are up to 10 minutes and i want it to render in under a hour. My budget is £1000.
I found 2 decent laptops:
acer: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/laptops-netbooks/laptops/laptops/acer-aspire-v3-771g-17-3-laptop-grey-21324854-pdt.html

lenovo: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/laptops-netbooks/laptops/laptops/lenovo-ideapad-z500-15-6-laptop-dark-chocolate-19430684-pdt.html#longDesc

the acer has a better screen (full hd) and 4GB dedicated memory and the lenova which is alot alot cheaper (£600) has i7 quad core processer but a worse screen (1366x768)

If you know even better laptops plz let me know

False. The Lenovo (not Lenova) does not have a "worse" screen, its just smaller. Also saying that the video card doesent matter while rendering is completely false. It does matter a lot. The Lenovo has a better video card. In average the Lenovo is better, it is cheaper, so go with that. It would be a waste to buy the Acer one as the Lenovo will perfectly serve your needs.

Easy choice, go for the Lenovo. With an i7 sounds pretty good for the price.

If you were not limited to 1000 quid and wanted (supposedly) the very best of the best, go for the Mac Book Pro with Retina screen. "Just" 2300 quid for the best model lol. Take a look, impressive: http://www.apple.com/uk/macbook-pro/

For video rendering multi-core computers and a lot of ram computers are good, the graphics card doesnt matter and the size/pixels of the screen doesn't matter.
