Does installation of Windows 7 onto Lenovo n500 affect hidden recovery partition on it?

Hi! I want to install Windows 7 RC on my sister's Lenovo n500, and I would like to know if it affects the hidden partition of Windows Vista...Windows 7 will be in German, as she knows German only, not English...So, in case I want to revert back to English Windows Vista, I think I can do it by pressing Lenovo Care button at start up, and recovering Windows Vista from hidden partition...I don't have any files or non-Windows programs I want to save or back up...So, in theory, since I will be installing Windows 7 onto C drive/partition, it shouldn't touch the hidden partition which holds recovery for Windows Vista...Thank you for your answers and advice...

No. When you install Windows 7, you have a built in boot manager which allows you to choose which partition to install it on. You would then click the main partition and install it there, and leave the recovery partition alone. That way, if you have any problems with Windows 7 on your main partition, you can boot to your recovery partition and restore Windows Vista back onto the main partition, which will ensure no matter what happens you will ALWAYS be able to revert back to a working computer with Windows Vista.

Good Luck. hope this helps. Email me for more assistance.

Just go to Lenovo web site and download the drivers from there. Good Luck The Old Computer Guy
