I just bought a laptop in a garage sale but it has a password and i cant get it to reset the password help? it wont let me in i cant format it and i dont have the disk. Its a gateway laptop

It's hard to guess passwords. Much easier to reset them. Follow the instructions (carefully) at http://www.howtogeek.com/96805/

If it is a BIOS password, you may end up having to contact gateway support and get them to do a password reset.
If it is a Windows login password, there are many boot CDs out there that can do a "Windows Password reset", just search for those...

Download windows or any OS iso file from torrent and burn it to disc and boot from cd you dont have to know the password in order to format your laptop
