I'm looking for a new laptop and interested in windows 8 touchscreen feature
But few meet my criteria (Intel i5 or equivalent and nvidia or ati graphic card, and preferably thin), and those few either not yet released in my country or the review said they were not so good on performence.
How great is touchscreen feature in windows 8? Is it worth to trade with performence/battery life those laptop with touchscreen that meet my criteria has?

If you're getting a full-feature laptop with a keyboard, I don't recommend the touchscreen. You'll be thoroughly happy with the laptop touchpad, or even better, a USB mouse.

The touchscreen is very cool on tablet computers with no permanent keyboard, and of course they're great with Windows 8 Phone on a smart phone. But after using a Win8 laptop with a standard screen and a mouse for 3 months, I don't miss the touchscreen at all.

The only reason to get a computer with windows 8 is if it is touch screen, but if you want a dedicated graphic card then you're going to have to let go of have a thin laptop, as the ultra thin laptops do not have dedicated graphic cards or internal cd/dvd drives. Most gaming laptops do not have great battery life, as they should always be plugged in when playing games. You should never play games on a laptop while on battery power.

nicely if im proper, too improve to homestead windows 8 isn't extreamly high priced, it is as much as you no count in case you like the touch exhibit skill or not. whilst homestead windows 8 comes out microsoft place of work will in all possibility come out on an identical time. it may be stupid on microsofts section if it didnt. Itunes will in all possibility purely take some week max if not shorter volume of time to become like minded if not alredy like minded at its present day version. So relatively it comes all the way down to touch exhibit and how lots you like it, in my view I wouldnt bypass there because it is going to maximum probable be extra funds and a feture which you will purely use each and every as quickly as in awile. extra of a bragging rights style of element. good success and in case you have the different questions verify to message me.

Windows 8 is usable on a non touch screen but its nice to have the touch screen ability but I would never trade performance for it
