Macbook Pro is far superior than the sony vaio because of te following reasons:

1. Battery Life

2. environment-friendly LED display

3. Higher resolution displays

4. The display has an ambient light sensor to adjust to varying lighting conditions.

5. Mac OSX

6. Design. The MacBook Pro is all aluminum and weighs 5.4lbs for the 15.4-inch models. It’s pretty and thought goes into the packaging, there’s little set up or preparation required after you open the box; how many PCs can you say that of?

7. Magnetic latch/power connectors. This should be self explanatory, the lid of the laptop and power connector and secured by magnets, though the lid still has a release catch on it (unlike the MacBook which does not). Trip over the power cord and the theory is that it will pop out of the laptop without pulling it off the table; I’m not prepared to test this theory.

8. iLife. How many PCs include the full versions of useful software out of the box (unless you expressly paid for it), none. But, Apple includes iLife with every single Mac purchased. ILife includes iPhoto, iMovie, the .MAC gallery, GarageBand, iWeb and iDVD. Now, Microsoft has tried to include similar applications with Vista but I’m afraid it’s version of DVD maker and Photo Gallery don’t hold a candle to what Apple has accomplished, nice try though but fail.

9. Backlit keyboard. The keyboard is backlit with white LEDs; when ambient lighting falls below a certain level, the keyboard backlights come on so it works without any user interaction, like a lot of things Apple and Mac, “it just works.”

Quick factor, WOW i dont see a unmarried macbook fan boy reaction, im inspired. Both corporations reside by way of the equal mottos overpriced beautiful notebooks, the Vaios do have it in which it counts regardless that as in comparison to a macbook. the FW and AW are each very well, the AW notably. The AW is what might be placed face to face with a mac, it has the 9600m chipset even as having cool extras like hdmi, a maxed out AW is is round 3200 that's beautiful practically a macbook 17 while you begin upping the specifications as good. Personally i might opt for the Vaio, its larger for proformance and sure W7 DOES ROCK. But i might proboly provide a macbook a double take and feel approximately wiping one and putting in W7 on it.

This all depends on what you plan to do, and what configurations you buy. Really, the question here is which operating system is better, and where that's concerned, I'd have to say mac. If you get the mac, you can install windows. Windows allows you to play video games, whereas the mac is much more secure, there are six viruses for mac, all of which it is protected against. Generally speaking though, mac and the Vaio deliver the same performance, however, the mac operating system uses fewer system resources and allow you to get more power out of what you have. Something else to bear in mind is that the mac ships with far less junk on it than the pc. finally, build quality on the mac is superior to the vaio, would you like plastic, or a body made out of one piece of aluminum?

If your interested in work then the Mac Book Pro would be the best buy. But if interested in games the Sony Vaio would be best. But overall the mac book pro is faster and very light weight

Hi there,

Sony Vaio laptops have excellent specs and are a great value. There are also several models. Is there one particular model that you are looking at? The Sony Vaio E Series is a great multi-purpose laptops (perfect for schoolwork, watching movies, and other multi-media).

I hope this help!

Cheers,

Isabella
