MacBook Pro USB Extension not working?

Hey, I'm having a problem with my macbook pro. Unfortunately, my mac only comes with 2 USB ports, but I need a few USBs to be plugged in such as my mouse, external hard drive, audio interface and MIDI keyboard. I've bought about 5 different USB extensions and none of them seem to work... My audio interface and keyboard works through an extension but I hear a lot of interference through the audio interface (which is normal to be honest). When I plug my mouse or external hard drive through the extension, they don't work!

Anybody know if Apple have a certain USB extension to do the trick or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks in advance!

Not sure when you mention USB Extensions.....do you mean USB Hub? If so, you need to make sure there is enough power driven through these USB hubs. Poweless USB hubs draw only certain amount of power from your Mac, and you can try using an external powered USB Hub. I do not have the specs with me about the Mac.

By "extension" I assume you mean a USB hub.

It should be powered and of a good quality for use with a hard drive / audio interface etc.

Without details of your particular Mac and USB hub it will be impossible to make specific suggestions.
