Hi all,
I'm using laptop Toshiba Satellite. I've Core2duo processor and 3GB RAM. I've windows and Linux installed in it. For the last few weak, I've this strange problem. The system restarts unexpectedly. It happens for both Windows and Linux.
What could be the reason?
My laptop is almost 3years old, and I've removed the battery pack. It happened a lot of time, like the power gone and system suddenly shutdown due to no battery back up. Is this triggered such a condition. Somebody told me that its your RAM causing this.
What could be the problem exactly and how can I fix this? Please help me with this. Thanks.

I use to have this problem too it could mean many things. 1 you could have a virus on your computer and thats when you do a virus scanner (a free one for spyware and stuff is called malwarebytes its easy to use although its not really a virus scanner it tells if you have harmful stuff on your computer) or in my case it was my computer overheating. I took the battery out and blew it out witha power blower it removed a lot of dust. Hope this helps.

If this happens both in Linux and Windows, then it is likely to be hardware problem

Possibilities

1) overheating CPU because of dirt ion you laptop or fan not working; Test...use temperature monitor apps. Solution. open laptop, blow air into it, and check fan working...if you know how to do this without damaging it

2) Poor memory. Run memtest (this installed automatically with most Linux distros will test your memory thoroughly. The memory cards may not be simply seated properly...open memory card compartment, carefully remove and reseat the memory.

3) Power supply failure...

Boot this pc up tapping F8 and run a deadly disease and malware test . you particularly need to comprehend what the blue show is asserting . go into journey viewer and notice if that lists what the priority is to boot.

It is a hardware issue.

Most likely overheating of the CPU or GPU.

It could also be due to RAM issues.
