Hi, i having some issues with my dell audio. currently im running windows 7 with 64-bit operating system with 2.00GHZ duel core pentium with 4GB of RAM. a couple of days ago my audio started experiencing problems in that it wouldn't come on unless i plugged in an external audio thing such as a HDMI or on the ANALOGUE headphone jack, however the audio only starts to work when i semi-plug in the audio jack the audio will come on so the audio is currently working however it's not working at the moment. so i'm trying to fix these audio issues. that only mean it doesn't work if any other information is needed let me know and i will supply. many thanks. Michael Parmenter

Can't contact Dell officially because out of warranty. thank you.

Why sure you can contact dell, but I can tell you will get the run around and no solution.

Try going to their support site....

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs

After entering your service tag, go into downloads, drivers and look for an audio device driver. (NOTE THE DATE OR VERSION IF THERE IS MORE THAN ONE!)

If there is a newer driver download (save) then install. This should resolve your sound issues.
