I heard that many remove the battery from their laptop and uses it through direct power.
IS THIS SAFE. In ma area power failure does not occur much.
If we remove the battery and keep it aside, how often should we recharge it.
Dose keeping the battery without Using can cause any damage to it.
Does using the laptop via direct power can cause any damage to the LAP.
Plz help me frndz.

Yes, you can. The adapter itself converts AC current to DC current. So even if there are spike in voltages, it does not matter up to a certain extent. Anyway, it will extend your battery life by stopping it from overcharging.

Yes, you can remove the battery.

You won't have to recharge the battery for a couple of months. However, you SHOULD discharge the battery because the stored charge is added potential energy that could cause problems if the battery is defective (dead batteries don't explode or catch fire).

No damage occurs to the battery when it is left out.

Using the laptop on direct power only is fine.

Sure it's safe, and works fine. Some people start using their laptops for a desktop. So they remove the battery. My wife did that in Feb. 2010 and her laptop is still working fine.

The best thing to do is leave the Battery in your laptop and keep the charger plugged into your laptop and electricity.
