I just recently purchased this laptop less than 2 months ago. Two days ago, I was using this laptop to surf youtube videos. I then fell asleep. After waking up and trying to get rid of the black screen saver, it would not work. I saw that the computer was the screen was black. I took out the battery and waited 10 seconds. When I put it back in the computer would not turn on. The blue light inside the power port (on the side) was pulsating very peculiarly. I do not believe it has ever done this. The power on/off button does not work. The laptop just doesn't work anymore. Has anyone had this type of problem before and what does anyone suggest that I do?

if you were running off AC power and you took the battery out I don't think would have hurt anything. Are you sure if you hold the power button down for like 1 or 2 seconds longer then you normally would that the laptop won't come on. That is strange man, I have a HP dv 6000 laptop and I know when you put the laptop into sleep mode the light on the front of laptop will blink but I don't think the AC power light blinks when it's plugged in. If you hit the power button what happens? Since your laptop is only less than 2months old I'd call HP for sure and get them to send you a new laptop. good luck

If it wont turn out, return it, you should have a 90 warranty on it from the store, not to mention the one year from hp.
