I am looking for a ultra portable lightweight laptop so I could use it for travelling (on the road, train, plane) and also at conference meetings.

Budget is NOT an issue and I really want as much power as possible, and it's even better (but not required) if it comes with excellent graphics card.

I'm thinking maybe Sony, Lenovo, or Asus would fit my need, but I am open for any other advices.

Any suggestions on brand and models if you know any?

Thanks.

I heard the sony vaio tz will release an upgrade version called vaio tt tomorrow. The tz series are nice and have very long battery life, its only 2.7-3.5lb but its only 11" screen. Go check out the tz futures. I believe the vaio tt price will start 2k. Of course ultra portable never support best video card because it lack of space for fan or heatsink since it will cause more heat and power uses. The lightest is the Sony Vaio X505 1.85lb made with carbon fiber and tz as well, lighter then macbook air .

Sony = attractive look, but it doesn't last that long

Lenovo = good hardware computer.

You can get the light weight computer in DEll, because TOshiba design is a bit bulking.

Then purely locate the main inexpensive one and artwork your way up from there. Then verify you study as many comments as you are able to relating to the pc so which you do not finally end up getting a defective pc like me.

Hello,

I would recommend you to learn more things about Asus VivoBook X200CA-DB01T. This is an elegant, lightweight touchscreen laptop which could become your new best friend.

As a second choice: you can even consider Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E545 20B20011US laptop.

Wish you all the best
