Where do I find the cmos battery in an Acer Aspire 5315?

I recently purchased an Acer aspire 5315 (yeah I know, bad move) anyway it came with 512MB RAM and I tried to put in a 2 GIG stick. I get a blank screen and nothing happens. I heard that I might have to remove and replace the cmos battery. where is it?

removing the CMOS battery doesn't reset the windows password, only the bios password. You will need to reinstall windows

there should be a small compartment under the laptop that screws off, this will contain the CMOS battery
