I have this Toshiba satellite A205-S5825 I got from someone and I really wanna fix it! But i am not an expert ahaha. It seems like there are maaaaannyyy problems with it but i really just wanna clear it out and start fresh! So at first i had tried pressing the 0 key to get it back to manufacturing settings but when I did that after I chose my OS (which is windows vista) nothing happens it just starts out normal. So then i decided to try and use it but it kept getting worse. It got so bad and now its so slow its basically impossible to use and it is saying that everything has issues and it has that blue screen of hell "kernal data inpage error 0x0000007a 0xc05b9cf8 0xc0000185 0x266bc8co 0xb739f000" < heres a list of all the error codes that are wrong. I looked them all up for answers but the computer is too slow to do anything they are saying. After all this I looked online and saw that you could delete everything by formatting the disk or whatever and i tried that but an error popped up and said I can't do that or the computer will be unusable. I have spent lots of time on this old computer and I would feel so bad if I didn't fix it. I know I probably seem stupid sorry if this question is confusing I just really want to fix it! Ive been looking everywhere for answers to this but no one seems to have the same situation! So if you can help please please help!!! Thank you so much for all your time!

It was broke when you got it that what it seems like and now trying to repair it, also seems like the hidden partition in which contain all the files to restore back to factory settings is corrupt , you can format the drive just because it says the laptop will be unusuable is being truthful just going to have a blank screen with some errors on it after formatting, could be wrong about the the hidden partition being corrupt , try this while the laptop is on hold the power button down for 10 seconds until it goes off, hold down the 0{zero} key , tap the power button once so that the laptop comes on, when the laptop beeps , release the 0 key, warning screen shows up click yes , select recovery of factory default software ,click next, select recovery to out of box state , click next , click next to start recovery

I recommend installing ubuntu. If you dont like it, install windows 7. vista just sucks and trust me windows 8 sucks a lot more than that.

you can try formatting whole PC and reinstalling vista.

donwload linux mint or ubuntu for free.

burn it to dvd.

boot from dvd.

dont install, just run it from dvd.

if their is a hardware problem, linux mint will give and error. if linux mint boots well, then windows is the problem. you'll have to do a fresh install otherwise you could switch to linux altogether. personally i made the switch nearly 5 years ago and havent looked back. only time i use windows is at the office where i have no choice.

Have you tried PC cleaning software? Usually it's developed considering that a certain PC has tremendous speed problems, so the installation process doesn't need acceptable performance. If your computer can handle nothing else that you were recommended before, perhaps it's the last option before system re-installation.
