the trackpad on my macbook pro doesn't work.
i mean it does move around and everything but when i go to click something .. it doesn't work.
I plugged in a mouse, and that works but its annoying when i'm not at my desk b/c the mouse isn't very useful w/o a desk.
can anyone help me? i really hope it's fixable!! thanks so much.

Reboot and hold down the Command + Option + P + R keys at the same time, wait for two chimes then release the keys. Mac will boot up normally.

The top case might have to be replaced.

If your computer is still under warranty, take it to the Apple Store and they'll replace it for you. It could be a defective part, it could be water damage, or it could be wear-and-tear.
