Any help because I am not very tech savy. £350 is the budget.

Definitely go for the Acer E1. The i3 processor is far superior to the Celeron the other two use; the i3 is perfect this basic level of use and will run smooth, the celeron however is very slow even for the most basic tasks. It has an adequate 4GB of RAM, 6GB is unnecessary as with the Asus. 500GB hard drive should also be more than enough.

I also currently own an Acer myself now they are quality laptops.

Do not listen to answers from people who clearly don't know what they're talking about. E.G one answer said "great screen display" for a laptop with the lowest you are even usually able to buy: 768p.

The first link is the better choice.

the i3 processor will last you longer than the others, as the others have a celeron processor.

The celeron processor is allright but with newer technologies about the acer laptop with the i3 processor would be so much better with the laptops performance and everything. Also it has 4gb of ram which is more than enough really, the other celeron laptop has 6gb of ram which is good but its overkill which means it wont be using all of it anyway so the acer laptop will be much better. Also i choose it because it has a 15.6 inch screen and 500gb of memory is lots for a mum haha unless she is like a super geek and has lots and lots of important files + music + other stuffs.

Soo i choose:

Because

1.) the i3 processor is newer technology, has better performance and will last longer.

2.) 4gb of ram is lots of memory and even for a gamer its lots so itl do fine.

2.) the other little features such as screen size, amount of hard drive space, webcam, integrated graphics!, the look of it is sexy. and it has windows 8 i guess.

Hope whatever decision you make is the right one (:

have fun picking and hope your mom enjoys it (:

that's a stability subject and relies upon what you like. a working laptop or pc is the main important device, yet a working laptop or pc isnt as sturdy. once you're finding to debris with video and sound courses or something inventive/musical then a Mac is extra helpful than a domicile windows pc. A Macs different key income is there are a loss of viruses for them so as that they are no longer likely to get contaminated A domicile windows pc is defiantly extra helpful for gaming by using a few distance for overall performance and high quality, nevertheless laptops exceptionally gaming laptops are sluggish. while you're only surfing the cyber web I advise getting as decrease priced as achievable a working laptop or pc. once you're finding to do programming and coding for website layout and such, a Mac gives you some advantages a domicile windows pc would not. i've got not regarded at Linux very lots yet basically hear sturdy issues different than I hear its confusing to apply I want domicile windows, yet there's a extensive debate over this is extra helpful.

They are all quite good laptops and they will do the tasks that you need them to do the bottom one is properly the best for value for money but only has an Intel Celeron B830 Processor but the top one the Acer has an Intel Core i3 processor but just for thinks like general web surfing, facebooking, music and photo editing the Intel Celeron B830 is the best value for money because it has 1TB of Hard drive room which is massive, and 6GBs of RAM which to is quite huge and it will handle all them tasks that you throw at with ease

I would go with the Acer.

The Toshiba has the least amount of RAM and the smallest HD.

The Asus has the most RAM and the biggest HD, but the processor really sucks.

But anyway, for what your mom will be doing on this laptop, any one of the 3 would be just fine.

The asus is a nice one. It will last you awhile without needing upgrades. The only con i see is windows 8. since it is new its still buggy i would ask if they can put windows 7 on it instead. Other then that the specs are nice, also asus is reliable.

i would personally look for windows 7. windows 8 has alot of compatibility issues and there are some bugs to it.in addition,it is a tough adjustment, especially if you dont have touch screen.the complaints are piling up,and i still think it Will be a huge disaster for microsoft. i hope that microsoft will end up having to give people who want windows 7 free copies within 6 months because there will be so many complaints from people buying windows 8.contact me if you need more help. jdbj32m@yahoo.com
