I've noticed that the space of my hard drive has been decreasing daily. I've removed unused programs but that doesn't seem to help.

Second or new bigger hard drive.
Get rid of all the crap taking up all that space.

Video files take up a tremendous amount of disc space, if you have a lot of them saved you could back them up to DVD disc's to free space. Music & Photo's can take up space if you have a lot of them, look for duplicate songs you can delete or convert from .wav to .mp3 to make them smaller. If you unload a digital camera and don't delete the pictures you don't like or want they can really add up in disc space.
52 Gigs is not that much these days so you will have to manage what you save by transferring files to CD/DVD discs or buy a larger hard-drive.
Turning off "system restore" will give you a quick few Gig's but I am always afraid to tell someone to do that for fear they will regret it later. I turn it off from day 1 on all my machines but I manage my network personally and have it locked down pretty tight.
Good Luck!

Something else not mentioned would be to shut off system restore or to reduce the size of the reserve. This thing is of questionable value IMHO, as if your drive blows up, there will be nothing to restore. I turn it off on all my Windows installations. Normally it will use 12% of your drive, which in your case would be about 6.25 GB.
Good luck.

Use "SpaceMonger" for a graphical representation of your hard drive.

You will be able to see whats being taken up & where it's located.
Make informed choices about what you can afford to remove. You'll probably find remnants of software you uninstalled ages ago that have left folders behind containing many megabytes.
Hope it helps.

Well, assuming you are using Windows, run a defrag. Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Disk Defragmenter.

you could buy a external harddrive..if u dont want to spend any money then you could disable your system restore and then u mite get like a few gigs back. if u dont know how to do that then all you do is right click on my computer>properties>system restore>turn of restore>apply.. after that u can turn it back on and put on at like 5% or something smaller than what u had it on

do you have lots of image, audio, video files? you may need to get rid of some of those or if your computer can take another hdd you probably can get a 320GB for less than $100.
