I looked online and seem to be getting mixed answers, is it 64-bit compatible? I want to upgrade to Windows 7 I need to know if I should get 32 or 65-Bit. thanks

If i had to take a guess i would say NO but the Core i5-2300 Quad-Core Sandy Bridge would certainly handle Win 7 64-Bit and it's about the same price as the T7200... $180

it is hard to explain especially over yahoo answers. ok simple and to the point you do not need a 64 bit processor unless....if you ask this question then plain and simple you do not need a 64 bit processor, stick with the 32. Now core 2 duo means that there are two processors in one, basically it can multitask better and process info faster. 2 duo can come in 64 or 32 bit varieties. I would recommend a intel core 2 duo 32 bit processor or even a AMD core 2 processor. AMD is just as good as intel but steer clear of any other brand of processors. 64 bit is not better...ok it processes more info at once but you need really high equipment in order to see the difference. If you buy a 64 bit processor but your programs can only run a 32 bit then you are wasting your money. If you are running XP than it is not even worth it at all because XP is only able to run 32 bits at a time. if you are running vista (which if you can avoid I would recommend) then you will probably still be wasting your money on 64 bits. I don't know if you get any of this, but just stick with 32 bits and save lots of money. hope this helps...this is the best I can do in this forum sorry.
