I had to reinstall XP on my ThinkPad T42 laptop and it needed a few drivers installed.

I went to the Lenovo site as I have done in the past, but the driver download files are no longer availabe! Example: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-41918

Where else can I obtain the drivers I need for my laptop without paying?

I had the same problem today. Tried to find drivers for my T40p.

After spending several hours on the net searching for a mirror, i tried the following procedure and finally succeeded.

1. Navigate to your driver on the Lenovo Website. In your case: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-41918

2. Copy + Paste the whole link into the google search field.

3. The first result will be the exact same link you searched for. Under the result you can click on a google cache link.

4. After clicking on the google cache link, you will see the same site you searched for but with a download link, which does not work.

5. Copy the name of the download.exe (in your case: 1rd637ww.exe) and search for it on the following website: http://findfiles.com/

6. You will find the original download link plus a link from a second ibm server called boulder or something. The second link works fine for me

http://findfiles.com/list.php?db=Both&string=1rd637ww.exe
