i have a older laptop computer that I would like to use it anywhere in the house. We have a router but when I try to connect it to the router it has no button to use it wireless.

Does your laptop have a usb port? If so, that makes it pretty easy. You can buy a usb wireless card, install the drivers and plug it in. If your laptop doesn't have usb ports, chances are it has a pcmcia port (larger than a usb port). You can also find wireless pcmcia cards, which work the same way - install the drivers that come with the card and plug in the card. You didn't mention which operating system you have (Windows XP/Vista/98?). You'll want to check the box, or ask for help at the store to make sure you are getting a card that has drivers for the operating system you've got on the laptop.
