Hi, I have a 2 year old Toshiba Laptop with a 1.8 ghz, 512 ram, and 128 mb Nvidia 4-generation. The thing is, a lot of games I have tried to install (civilization 4, Doom3) do not work, and some give weird error messages i have never seen b4. For example I Installed Civ 4, and when trying to run it, it says "Caught unhandled exception creating XML parser objetc Current XML file is:".
With Doom, After much work trying to install and getting it to work, i tried to unistall it. Here's the message :
"Error 1324. The path Toshiba backup contains an invalid character."

Please help, I don't know what to do.
Thanx

128mb video card is pretty small and 512mb memory is just bare minimum for windows alone. I would suggest more memory and even a bigger video card if the lappie will do it. Otherwise you need to check what the system requirements are for these games before you install them. I'm sure it's eigther memory or video card issues, or both causing your grief.

Laptops are not designed to run games. It is most likely because of the on board video card.

It feels like factors needed to get rid of the video games are lacking. placed the installation disk for the interest back in, reinstall it clean, then uninstall. The reinstall ought to replace the lacking factors and permit the uninstall to artwork as designed.
