4yr old Medion laptop with a failed power adapter. I am having difficulty getting another adapter and am just about ready to buy another computer, so reluctant to buy if I don't have to. However, I want to download a few files off my hard-drive. I need to power it up temporarily. Would connecting it to another computer via their USB ports do it? Any other ideas. Thanks in advance.

BUT if you go into your local currys store they might have a uneriasl adaptor, if nit ask for the number for partmaster, its a currys service they will almost def have the right charger and will send it to your house with in 4 to 5 working days!!!!

Hi, I would be amazed if you could not find a replacement AC adapter after only 4 years. Try Googling for a suitable supplier. or try the following link (UK)
