on a mac laptop, how do you empty the trash?

i was downloading some tv episodes unto my itunes, and it stoped downloading because it said that something was full, and to fix it i had to empty the trash.

Hold down the trashcan with the mouse and choose empty trash

you left click on the idon at the bottom of your sreen and click empty. if that doesnt work then open it and click on the button at the top of the screen that says "trash" (or something) lik on that and click on empty.
