Everything was working fine until my connection went down. Now i am not sure if i touched something, but the inernet connection shows everything is o.k. but the screen at the bottom right hand of my screen has a red cross on it, when i right click the options are really faint and wont let me in. Any info would be very much appreciated to get me back online.

Sounds like your Wireless card is disabled, depending on your Operating system and your wireless Card type, You need to get into the Network Connections settings, and right hand click on the Icon of your wireless connection and select enable.

Also, make sure your card in not added to a Connection bridge, when you right hand click after enabling, you should see the option BRIDGE CONNECTIONS, if you don't you will have the option to REMOVE from bridge, do the Remove if you have that option.

If you are using Windows Wireless Manager, after enabling the card, right hand click on the wireless Icon near the clock bar, and select View Available networks, If using Windows management , you will see a list of available networks , choose yours to connect, if the card has it's own management software, you need to use that to configure your connection options.

Hope this helps

Right click on the screen icon in the systray. Now you've got a choice. You could click on repair and it might just work. Or you could click on "View Available Wireless Networks" and see if your network is shown (try refreshing with the link on the top left). If so select your network and click the Connect button. If that doesn't work you'll have to go into your router settings, although before you do that you could try turning everything off and rebooting.
