Suddenly my laptop cannot connect to the wireless and it gives no possible connections?

My wifi was working fine then suddenly it stops and gives no possible connections and it only works with ethernet cable? how can i get my wifi to work with my laptop again? (it isnt my internet, thats completely fine its just the laptop.)

Do what ? Suggests, also rt click on the wifi icon in the bottom rt notification area choose troubleshoot/ repair and let us know what it finds.

For windows 8 Open the Network Adapter troubleshooter by swiping in from the right edge of the screen, tapping Search (or if you're using a mouse, pointing to the top-right corner of the screen, moving the mouse pointer down, then clicking Search), entering troubleshooting in the search box, tapping or clicking Settings, then tapping or clicking Troubleshooting. Tap or click Network and Internet, then tap or click Network Adapter.

You may have done something to damage the laptops wifi card/receiver. You will get the best help from an electrical store such as Harvey Norman or dicksmith or some other local electrical repairman

Reset the wireless router by unplugging it for 10 seconds then re- plug it... If that doesn't work.. Ensure that your laptop wi-fi capability is switched on..

your laptop wifi has been assigned an IP address by the router dhcp server , it is trying to connect to this address but cannot as it is already assigned , right click on the ethernet connection on the bottom right of the screen , click status then properties and then tcp/ip and click properties and assigne a different IP address manually OR go to the dhcp page on the router and reserve different IP address for all the devices you use so you avoid a clash each device must have a different address for wifi and cable connection
