virus deleted everything on laptop, help please!?

My friends laptop has everything completely gone from this virus he somehow got, he cannot access anything and the virus has deleted/removed everything from his computer, he can't even access his documents. Please does anybody have a solution for this? anything please! thank you

Yes, in the future do backups so that when this happens you don't lose everything. I have 3 sets of backup in case of trouble. It is not IF there is trouble it is WHEN there is trouble. Turn off internet. You get MalewareBytes on your computer and install in on a flashdrive. Start your friends in SAFE MODE, usually by pressing F8 when booting. Use MalwareBytes to scan his/her computer. Good Luck! BACK UP, BACK UP AND BACK UP. Also get K9 which keeps you off bad sites so this don't happen again.

Boot into safe mode and then see what is there as well as run a anti-virus program to rid the system of any intrusion Restore the system to an earlier time

I don't think you can do anything. Just download the things back to the computer.
