I have a Packard Bell EasyNote TJ71 with an AMD Athlon(tm) II Dual-Core M300 2.00 ghz processor.
My RAM memory is 4gb. I run 64-bit windows 7...I think that's everything...anyway when I play games or edit videos or stuff my laptop runs really slow and I'm wondering if there's anything to do to make it faster..I can go buy a new cpu or anything just so it makes my laptop run faster.

Yeah pretty much what everyone else says, laptops aren't meant for "heavy duty" tasks such as dealing with videos and games. Take mine for instance I own a Packard bell notebook and frequently try running AutoCAD, iTunes, google sketch up pro and Internet all at once, it generally tends to cry at me lol. Only suggestion is either buy a desktop or do as I do and start to build your own from scratch. You may find that a standard setup can be below the £200 marker if your poor like me as most students are ;)

Find out what the maximum amount of memory ur computer handles and add memory. Many times the computer simply has too much info and requires more ram (random access memory) ram allows ur pc to store info so that it accesses it quickly so the more ram the less work your hard drive has to do and the faster your able to access and utilize programs. Also defragment your computer every week fragmentation causes delays or lags in retrieving information aka slow computer. Hope this helps good luck

First, uninstall any courses which you do no longer use anymore. get rid of each and all of the courses from the startup folder which you do no longer use daily. Then acquire and run CCleaner, alongside with the "examine for themes" component to this methodology. Now acquire and run AdAware. additionally acquire and run Spybot S&D. If advert-conscious misses it, Spybot will capture it. while you're no longer frightened of tweeking your computing gadget acquire and run technique Explorer. Now run Disk Cleanup and De-fragment your perplexingcontinual(the two courses got here with abode windows). Run those 4 courses often and defragment a minimum of as quickly as a month. Then purchase the max reminiscence your computing gadget can shield. reminiscence makes the main important distinction in how your computing gadget runs. nevertheless no longer chuffed? you're in a position to enhance the video card on your computing gadget. maximum video playing cards additionally comprise 'overclocking' application to velocity up the CPU and video card. be careful although. Uhm that hardware is NOT meant for gaming or video editing

And you can only upgrade the ram and hard drive in a laptop nothing else

HOWEVER you can over clock the processor then it might handle gaming and video editing better

You can also lower the video settings in your game that works for me

When you over clock the Processor it will get hotter and it might get permanently damaged do it at your own risk and do not do it if you already have issues with heat

Your ram is pretty good 4GB should be enough for gaming and editing

You're graphics card sucks, so if you do anything graphical like editing videos or playing games, your graphics card is having a really hard time, which results in a slow laptop at that moment.

You can't buy a new CPU or graphics card for laptops, only for desktops. A new cpu won't anything btw, just a new graphics card which is impossible.
