New Laptop Harddrive and Network problems?

I recently got a new hard-drive for my Dell laptop. So I used EZ Gig II to make a copy of the old hard drive. Now I'm having strange problems with my wireless network card. It sometimes loses connection to my router and gets a random IP address which I don't know where coming from. Then I get a warning that it's a "limited connection". Releasing/renewing IP doesn't help. The wireless card doesn't seem to be able to connect to the router. Sometimes waiting for a while fixes the problem, other times, it's fixed by plugging in the network cable to the laptop's NIC card.

Also, the last few days, I noticed every time I go to msdn2.microsoft.com, the same network problem occurs and the computer just freezes.

So my question is, is making a copy of hard drive a bad idea? Should I have re-installed Windows and all the hardware drivers instead? What should I do now? Reinstall windows?

Hard drive should have nothing to do with your wireless connection. It sounds like your laptop is trying to connect to a wireless network other then your own, hence the weak signal and loss of connections. You may need to reconfigure your wireless card. Search for open networks and see if you are picking up a a few. Also change your SSID from the deafult. That will help a lot to ensure you connect to the proper wireless network.

as quickly as your computing device gets to the blinking curser once you restart, then initiate pressing f8 back and back till the progressed ideas menu looks, then arrow all the way down to "final usually used solid configuration" and reboot, that would desire to get you on your individual computing device. if that doesnt artwork, then repeat the approach till you get to the progressed ideas menu back and this time arrow up or all the way down to "initiate in risk-free mode", then reboot and it will take you to risk-free mode very own computing device and bypass on your fix application and fix the computing device back some weeks and reboot and notice if that doesnt get you on your individual computing device.
