a dule processor isnt the best out there but its good for a lap top, 4 GB is perfect for RAM 500 GB is really good for a laptop and i know windows 7 premium is the newest out there, so over all that is a pretty good lap top, if a 15 inch screen is good for you it should be a pretty good laptop

looking at the graphics card looks like it can probably be a good gaming computer too ( not the best but good)

over all id say id pay a little over 1k for that thing

you didnt say how much you were gonna spend on it so i cant tell you the value, but i wouldn't pay anything over 2k that is way too much

out of 3 listed on the given link I will say go with GATEWAY NV53A24u unless color is the problem why? 1. Higher processing speed 2.3 GHz than HP but dual core are faster as in NV5378u. since its speed is 2.0 GHz, will not make that difference) 2. TFT LCD with ultrabright tech (clear view) 3. Highest system bus 1033 MHz (good for speed) 4. 4GB DDR3 Ram (DDR3 is faster than DDR2) also expandable to 8GB (other 2 are not) 5. Video card memory 256 mb (dedicated) good for graphics 6. Slimmer 1.3 " 7. lightest 5.7 lbs if you are worried about quality. then let me tell you all products are made in China. HP use to deliver good products 8-9 yrs ago. but now their products are no good. I own $1700 HDX and feels like i am using sh*t. Have you tried Dell store? their products are also good.

An ok laptop for basic useage...but Bestbuy has a better Toshiba 505 series laptop with the much faster AMD Turion II M500,same other specs, though a smaller hard drive,320GB is enough for most.

I would say, don't buy a gateway. As a computer repair tech, I think they suck!

Get a Toshiba or Sony.. and if not one of those then a Dell
